Boston Hernia is a specialty practice dedicated solely to hernia care, where we treat thousands of patients annually. Together, Dr. Reinhorn and Dr. Fullington perform nearly 1,000 hernia surgeries each year. Narrowing our focus has allowed us to rethink how work-related hernias / groin injuries are evaluated and treated. We recognize that not every patient with groin pain has a work related hernias(s), and that unnecessary or poorly selected surgery can lead to chronic pain, prolonged disability, and increased costs.
By using tailored surgical techniques and providing rapid access to care, we’ve been able to dramatically reduce complications, speed recovery, and help injured employees return to work stronger.
Below is a link to a presentation Dr. Reinhorn gave to a panel of occupational health doctors titled, “Optimizing Hernia Care for the Injured Worker”. In his talk, Dr. Reinhorn presented various symptoms injured workers present with, outlined diagnostic techniques, and showcased various types of surgeries to get workers back on their feet.
