At initial office visit, Dr Reinhorn confirmed what I felt, a left side inguinal hernia. His exam, also, found that I had one on the right side as well. He gave the statistics on the likelihood of the right side hernia causing problems down the road. I opted to have both repaired at the same time. From check in to being escorted out post surgery, the process including local anesthesia was amazingly smooth, painless and patient friendly, with Dr Reinhorn outstanding. Late yesterday evening, after returning home from surgery in the afternoon, I did take one dose of prescribed pain medication, but probably could have done without. I am now less than 24 hours post surgery and still feeling some discomfort, but not nearly enough to require taking any more prescription pain medication even with the two repairs. The speed of recovery is amazing and I expect to be out and about tomorrow and back on the tennis courts in two weeks. Tough to beat that. Thanks, Dr Reinhorn!
